From one barre-addict to another...
“Barreworks is one of the most beneficial forms of exercise that I have ever taken part in. The classes are always varied, I never knew that there could be some many different exercises for the stomach and bottom! I have a waist again! Excellent teaching in a beautiful studio. Fantastic."

“I have lived in Richmond for 30 years and could never have imagined what a gap there was in my life until I discovered Barreworks”
Anne Sebba
“I am constantly reminded (through changes to my own figure and comments I hear from others) of how the method not only reshapes, but also provides strength and definition with no bulk – pure, long, lean muscle.”
Vian Sharif
“The Barreworks Ballet WorkOut is a triumph. Great fun, challenging in a completely different way and quite addictive. Being able to do this class after a Barreworks Workout is a big buzz. It compliments what I still find an extremely tough work out with one (while still being very demanding) that feels as if it allows the muscles to relax into the movement and enjoy a different workout altogether. There is something about the grace and discipline of ballet that has a romance to it. To be able to access even the tiniest part of that grace and discipline is fantastic.”
Gillian McNeil
“Barreworks is the reason why I've begun to become passionate about exercise again. The classes really help build your confidence and help you achieve the results you're looking for. They are fun, friendly and it's clear that the instructors really care. The studio is gorgeous, brand new and very professional. I think any woman should try these classes out, they'll never be the same!”
Jen Kassanis
"I would recommend this to anyone. It is so good to find a class that I want to go back to and doesn't feel like a chore, in fact it is so addictive that I now go twice a week! The exercises are straightforward, but VERY effective. I have noticed a huge improvement in my core strength, posture and muscle tone since starting."
Joanna Kersley
“I’ve participated in an array of fitness classes from hip-hop dancing to power plates to keep my body in a toned condition. However, after several sessions I begin to lose interest as the exercises become tediously repetitive and I don’t feel that I am being challenged.
When I first heard about Barreworks classes and how satisfied a friend was, I thought it was worthwhile signing up. Now attending twice a week, I haven’t been to one class that has been repeated. The sessions are original, challenging and energizing and after every session I feel worked through, it's addictive!
Finally I would just like to add that the level of dedication that the Instructors give, especially in making sure you execute every movement and understand how to use the muscles correctly make the classes invaluable.”

Learning to love to run...
"I've never really run much outdoors but since trying the RunOut class I've been converted. Richmond is such a beautiful area that even when the class is pushing you to your limit (which it does...in a good way) there's a good chance there'll be a great view to take your mind off it! Plus, by taking the class you'll learn valuable techniques to improve your running style."
Emma Walker
"I thought running was running; but no! Since joining the RunOut classes I have learnt so many useful techniques which have improved my running style and performance and dare I say it; running has actually become enjoyable! There is a way to run and conserve energy; tackling hills with baby steps makes it possible to get to the top without collapsing, relaxing hands and shoulders, dare I say holding butterflies between the fingers...just some of the things I have learned from my RunOut sessions. Barreworks RunOut is also a great complement to Barreworks WorkOut classes. What is really fantastic is that anybody can come to a Barreworks RunOut class whatever their experience with running. The wonderful instructors have lot's of creative ways of keeping the group together. I cannot recommend these classes enough - they're brilliant!"
Helena Croft
"I have truly surprised myself with how much i have enjoyed the RunOut class. i never thought running more than 30 minutes could be enjoyable. The time flies by and afterwards the feeling of achievement is fantastic. I have loved being able to mix running with enjoyment to give my weekly exercise regime a more balanced programme. I am certainly more motivated and capable of running for longer when i am on my own."
Hannah Cousins
"I had wanted to enjoy running for a long time before trying RunOut, not least because with two young children and a pretty demanding job, I find it hard to fit exercise into my life. I’ve tried a few times to give it a go, but never managed to.
There are a few reasons why I think I might just have cracked it this time:
(1) With 9 months of Barreworks classes under my belt, my legs are much stronger, so I have one less thing to worry about and can focus on my breathing, which was what I really struggled with in the past.
(2) Running with like-minded people of all abilities is so much more fun than running on a treadmill or setting off alone not quite knowing if I would last the distance.
(3) Learning technique makes a surprisingly big difference to how running feels (and also makes the time fly)
(4) Being encouraged to do things you wouldn’t ever volunteer to do – like running up and down hills and steps in front of some of Richmond's best panoramic views. The (wonderful) Instructors make it all look so easy but are really encouraging and full of good tips for complete beginners.
I knew something had changed when I asked my husband to take me out for a run when we were on holiday recently – and thoroughly enjoyed it!"

"Barreworks RunOut is a brilliant addition. The results I saw after resuming running regularly were really, really staggering. After a month, I felt fitter, more toned (especially my legs!) and full of energy! Combining my regular Barreworks WorkOuts with running has literally accelerated the already fantastic changes I was seeing in my body."
